Environmental Planning Advisory Committee (EPAC) meeting 2pm Thurs. July 30th

Jim Pirko, from the Citizens Advisory Board of Eastgate Council of Governments, forwarded this memo to us. He is inviting us attend the Environmental Planning Advisory Committee (EPAC) meeting at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 30th at the City Centre One Building, 100 E. Federal Street, in downtown Youngstown, Ohio in the 10th floor conference room.

This meeting featuring community groups would be perfect to make presentations about any environmental issues that GUARD (Girard, OH), OHEJ, and REACH would like to discuss (see Rachel McCartney's note below).

Please mark your calendars for the next Environmental Planning Advisory Committee meeting on July 30, 2009 from 2-4 (NEW TIME!) at Eastgate (100 E. Federal St.).

The speakers are from a few of our local grassroots organizations that are making a difference in the Valley. We will be hearing from representatives of Youngstown CityScape http://www.youngstowncityscape.com/ , Grow Youngstown http://www.growyoungstown.org/, and Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative http://www.mvorganizing.org/

Once again there will be an opportunity for you to announce any challenges or success’s your community/organization is facing so that we can share information and ideas to better our region. If you have something you would like to discuss during “Local updates” please let me know ASAP so that I can get it on the agenda.

A meeting reminder with an agenda will be sent out closer to the meeting date.
